Below are some descriptions of what the typical responsibilities are for Committee Chairs:
Programs Committee Sources, interviews and schedules excellent presenters for live meetings to provide leading-edge, thought-provoking and valuable information and practices to PCMA members and guests. Coordinates, welcomes and supports our speakers. Inspires and educates members and guests by creating monthly meetings where everyone benefits from their experience. Builds the integrity and brand of PCMA through high-quality programs that attract new members and retains current membership.
Events Committee Oversees onsite registration of members and guests at monthly meetings. Responsible for overseeing all of the logistics around the monthly meeting, including interfacing with the hotel regarding contracts, pricing, menu, registration and other details. Works closely with the VP of Programs and the VP of Membership regarding the speaker and meeting format, and obtains information on potential new members to be sure that all attending have a positive experience.
Member Value Committee Focuses on the needs of members to determine and develop new programs/services in response to member interests. Initiates, coordinates and evaluates MasterMind groups and Mentoring relationships. Tracks committee involvement and sets chapter objectives. Evaluates member involvement in PCMA activities and establishes benchmarks and goals. Collaborates with Marketing Committee on marketing strategies to engage and retain membership.

Membership Committee Tracks the membership in a PCMA chapter. Recruits new members, meets and greets guests at monthly PCMA meetings, and invites guests to join PCMA. Follows up with guests and new membership leads as well as membership renewals. Hosts New Member Breakfast meetings to provide insight and information about what PCMA has to offer to new members.
Communications Committee Writes, edits and designs bi-monthly newsletter, with a focus on business and executive coaching. Writes book/article reviews and obtains Committee updates for newsletter. Writes info for monthly E-News blast to keep members posted on upcoming meetings, workshops and events as well as committee updates. Closely collaborates with the VP of Marketing to transmit information to members and the business community.
Marketing Committee Brings awareness of the value, programs and benefits of PCMA and conveys the chapter leadership’s message regarding the direction of the local chapter to the general membership and to the local business community. Researches and evaluates potential target markets for local PCMA initiatives and creates programs and marketing strategies to align with PCMA's overall branding strategy.
Strategy/Growth Committee Creates the local area chapter approach to implementing the organizational strategy. Implements the differentiated PCMA brand that stands out among all professional coaching associations and professional associations offering coaching to businesses through its programming, member activities and outreach to the local business community.
